PSA: Take corgi back problems seriously - our scary experience

Last week my corgi Biscuit suddenly couldn't walk properly. His back legs were weak and wobbly. Rushed him to emergency vet.

Diagnosis: IVDD (intervertebral disc disease). Common in long backed breeds like corgis, dachshunds, bassets.

He's on strict crate rest for 6 weeks and medications. Vet says he should recover but it was terrifying.

Things I'm doing differently now:

- No more jumping on/off furniture (got him stairs)
- Keeping his weight down
- No rough play that involves twisting
- Ramps instead of stairs when possible

If your corgi ever seems reluctant to jump or walk, don't wait. Get them checked.
